Up until yesterday I thought I had a handle on everything that goes on around the church.  I don't know all the details of all the ministries,  but I do have a working idea of what each of those ministries are doing, and what is coming up for them. I have a better handle on things going on inside the office and especially about the finances of the church.  Yesterday the whole church proved how wrong I could be, and what a great surprise that was!!

The gift of a vacation for me and my family is more dear to me than words can express.  Yesterday, on stage, I could not find the words. Today, the words of thanksgiving flow.  "Thank you" is the sentiment, but those words don't seem to express the gratitude that Dottie and I are feeling.  Not only have you provided a weeks vacation for us, you have provided an opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime.  You have provided an opportunity for reflection and rejuvenation, and an opportunity to see God's glory in his earthly creation.

Our gratitude extends to blessings we have had of raising our kids in this church.  We have been blessed with a church family our kids love to be involved in (that's probably a different blog better said on a different day). 

Suffice it to say that we are thoroughly amazed by the generosity of our church family, and their ability to keep a secret! We look forward to continued service to the Lord in this congregation for as long as He will have us, and you will tolerate us :)
